I am currently writing and recording new music that is a significant departure from my earlier work—basically rock with vocals with lyrics. The core musicians are myself, bassist Michael Manring, drummer Celso Alberti, and pedal-steel guitarist Robert Powell. Amy X Neuburg sings on "Lake of Fire," "Money Speaks," and covers of "What Have They Done to the Rain" and "Telstar." I sing "Suicide Train." You can hear mp3s of several of those songs as well as Even Schiller 's radical remix of "Lake of Fire" by clicking the song titles.

Last year I collaborated with Swedish guitarist and composer Johan Berke, providing an electronic soundscape for a section of his The Cacti Suite performance and CD, and we may record a "mail duets" CD at some point. I also played the solo on "Handbags & Glad Rags" from the Ol' Cheeky Bastards' upcoming Bag O' Tricks album. Later this year I will be recording a collaboration album with French guitarist/synthesist/loopist Richard Pinhas.
